My girlfriend tells me that she didn't really like her ex, and all these things about him that she didn't like. She told me how he wasn't even funny like me and didn't even have chemistry with him like she does with me.

But the comments she had left him on his myspace WHEN THEY WHERE GOING OUT AT THE TIME, read like I luv u, ur a gift from God, etc.

It was a long distance relationship from the beginning with visits here and there. It lasted about a year. When we had met she told me she broke up with him because he was mormon and she is christian and the religious differences.

I know it is in the past, I don't care about how she felt about him back then because she is with me now, but why would she say that she didn't even like him when it is obvious at the time she 'thought he was a gift from God? That's what bugs me.

At the time she might not have seen the things that caused their relationship to sour. If you asked me a year ago what I loved about my now ex I would have told you everything. But a few months later I began to see a side of him that I couldn't deal with so we broke up. I would only be bothered if she had written those things recently.

When relationship first start people don't really know the other person because human nature makes people put there best foot forward. At the time she was seeing him she was getting to know him and she only saw the good.. God's gift, handsome, funny etc. After a few months people start seeing things they don't care for and they either move forward or step out of the relationship... She stepped out of the relationship...I'm sure she saw something she didn't like. Don't worry about it, it's the past... And it's pretty much a sure indicator whether he likes you or not, depending on how he reacts.

I live in the arm pit of the Deep South in a poppulation that appears to be overwhelmingly from the Baptist persuasion. The message that I seem to be getting consistently in response to the question above is that "all we can do is pray" at this point, because the Book of Revelations had prophecized that the end if the earth would be imminent. To me, this attitude seems irresponsible. Yet that is the overall impression that I am getting from Evangelical Christians. Feedback?

Jesus did not teach that we should pray and do nothing. The Bible plainly teaches responsibility and good stewardship. There's an old clique - - "put legs on your prayers". Christ Jesus also said "Occupy until I come". Christians should be good stewards of their environment as well as their families, that should just come naturally.

I've known him for about 8 months and we 1st talked on myspace and then we switched over to conversing on messenger. I did a background check, so he is indeed who he says he is. Ok problem is that I a hard time trusting guys. No matter how much he reassures me I always find a reason to "break up" with him and then i end up realizing i made a huge mistake and come back. I guess I have a hard time believing him bc he's very handsome, but is also a christian. He has not lied to thus far about anything, yet i still accuse. He forgives me for my actions, but i feel awful bc it's a cycle. How can i overcome this? The reason we have not talked on the phone or met is bc he's extremely insecure and has HUGE rejection issues. So, I am taking everything slow in that aspect of the relationship. let me be as honest as i can. i'm in an LDR as well (we used to live in the same place) and i have had friends in situations like yours.

1) I don't know how feasible this is, but if at all possible, you NEED to meet him. I've had friends who were deceived after even a year of dating and several meetings. You can never truly know someone until you know their voice, expressions, mannerisms, their physical, real self. It is an indispensible part of the relationship. Even if it's only once, to have solid ground to stand on.

2) You won't break up with the right guy once you meet him.

3) Give him the benefit of the doubt about the handsome and Christian parts. It can happen.

It sounds to me like he didn't have much fun growing up, as you describe his parents. A long distance relationship can be hard. Insecure is for sure. I would be skeptical. On myspace her and her ex USED to (when they where together) tell each other they love each other, miss each other, etc. (this is on the comments eveyone can read). (it was a long distance relationship where they RARELY saw each other).

She broke up with him after almost a year but because of religious differences, he's mormon, she is christian.

Without me even asking, the other day she started telling me that she didn't even like him, it was a long distance relationship, that he drank all the time, was a quitter and tried to get out of the military under the guise of insanity, that he was always depressed and his mommy was constantly sending him anti depressant medication, that he wasn't even funny like me, that he was too nice, and smothered her and sent her flowers waaay too much.

So either she was lying to him about how she felt about him at that time or she is lying to me? Or? It could be that she is trying to tell me I am way better than him. I dunno what to think

why are you even worried about this. Feelings change, she may have thought she felt that way at the time about him and now being with you may just make her realize she did not feel that way. I hate it when the subject of ex's comes up in a relationship... it can turn any conversation sore. My boyfriend and me used to do it when we started to go out but then we realised that we spent the entire evening speaking about each other's ex's and basically it just ruined both our moods so we made a no-ex-conversation policy....just DONT go there except when its really important (like a death threat or something....) okay, shes probably slightly lying on both of them. like, she might have been good w/her ex, but then started to not like him, but kept up the comments because she didn't want to be not in love with him, or because she didn't want to hurt him that much. Probably it being the public comments, both.

Maybe by telling you her past you will get a full understand of what she is looking for in a guy and what she expects, trying to determine if she lying to you is something you can figure out through her expressions and body language. Maybe he recently professed some feelings for her and this is her counterreaction trying to convince you subconsciously that she doesn't like him like that anymore. She doesn't want to tell you directly what happened (if something did) because she thinks it will make you jealous or upset when you don't really have any reason to be. I got suspicious of my gf and asked for her myspace password. What I found was that when guys asked her out she would say she is busy this week maybe next week, for months on end instead of saying she has a bf. Turns out she has always done this to blow guys off, even when single (its true) so she doesn't hurt their feelings. What really concerns me though is that one of the guys told her he is ready to hang out when she is. She wrote this long email back and at the end said she was not sure how much longer we would be together. Thing is, this guy had been after her for several months when she was single and never got a date with her. To top it off she is a no sex before marriage christian, so cheating is out of character for her, especially with this guy. Still I can't ignore what this looks like. She has since slept with me and done a lot more to keep me but the trust is gone and I don't know what to do, she says she was just venting to the wrong person, a mistake. Can this be fixed?

I propose, for the sake of communication and for fun, a religious/scientific debate.

The format / topic can be almost anything you'd like. I figure we could do the debate via matching MySpace pages, YouTube video posts, e-mail, some chat program, or so on.

My only requirement would be that the entire debate be 'fair use' and postable on any website or used in any way.

I have listened to many debates surrounding aetheism and religion. An unbiased person can conclude one thing if both people are staying to their side:

If both sides are making their points appear to be valid, in spite of the other side, neither will be able to prove the other as wrong.

Unfortunately, the subject of God has no conclusion that will be seen as right or wrong. Until the Lord makes His presence directly seen by humanity, there is no way to justify anything about His validity, existence, or belief structure.

While I would like to debate with you, and while I would probably enjoy and respect your points and level of inteligence, my time would not allow me to do so. Besides, I don't like/use MySpace, YouTube, or similiar sources.

I can only conclude this: if you are an aetheist, and I am a Christian, then we will only strengthen each other's belief, and open eyes to things not necessarily thought of before.

Unfortunately, since there is no conclusive evidence to valdiate either side, it will still come down to faith in what is unseen (New Testament)

My dad's a pastor of a medium sized church, I'm 16 never had a bf, never been kissed, etc.There's a huge church about an hour and a half from my house. My youth group goes there for youth conferences, plays, etc.

There is guy who goes to that huge church and he's 19. He's on their youth worship team, he sings, plays guitar, drums, and he was just in the church christmas musical today that we went and saw. I added him on myspace and messaged him to tell him why i added him. He didnt write back but accepted my add. He looks kinda like ashton kutcher and has the style of clothing i love. He's a great christian and seems perfect for me. But I dont know how to talk to him. Since we only go to the church 2 or 3 times a year . and he's on stage and i'm just another visitor. How should I talk to him? What should I say?

if he didnt write you back he may not have been interested in talking to you. are you sure he doesnt have a girlfriend or someone he is talking to? Also your underaged which if he really a good christian shouldnt be a big deal but you never know if its fake or for real. But the chances are that if he wants to talk to you then he will, otherwise the only thing you can really do is just "accidently be in his way" and start talking to him, but if your not careful u will end up lookin desperate.

Listen I know that they have preached the last days theme since the beginning of time, but i can tell you that we are now in the last hours of christ's return.

I'm 21 years old, i was raised in a christian home and i've been tempted by the college life/drinking/sex yet i've never done any of it, i'm not saying I'm above anyone else but i've stayed true to god's word and for some reason he's put it in my heart to preach on his judgment.

There is a phenomena thats been happening the last year or so in which a few Christians, and I say a few, in actuality its thousands of Gods children sense the rapture of the church is very near. Some Christians and even preachers that believe and teach the rapture do not seem to have this urgency, but there is a remnant who feel that its very very near. I am one of them. I have been studying and watching for 30 years and have been hot and cold on the issue. I do not know of a better way to say this, but for the last 2 - 3 months I have been on high alert. My church youth group advisor has been with us for about 3 months now and we all love and appreciate her for being an excellent leader...however, I'm now having a strong suspicion that she is a lesbian. I added her MySpace I while back and for her default she has a pic of her and another woman...I would have overlooked this but there are other pics like this with different women(they are all fully clothed, dont worry).

I can relate strongly to it because I'm bisexual myself, however I'm not sure how to act around her. Please understand that I'm very liberal and I support gay marriage, but since we are in a Christian group many of us don't feel the same way.

I thought about going to my pastor about homosexuality before, but I'm gravitating to her now not only because she many be gay but also because she too has a liberal mindset, having annouced her OK of wearing jeans in church whereas my pastor is very set in his ways of morality. Over time you'll see friends come and go. It hurts when you start to part ways with someone you've trusted and cared for for a long time, but she's just expanding out in a different direction and you don't fit where she's going. That doesn't make you a bad friend and it doesn't mean that you've done anything wrong, she's simply growing apart from you.

My best friend and I became estranged a few months back and it hurts just as much when you're 32 (as I am) as when you're a teen. I understand the confusion and hurt. I know exactly what you are saying but there are exceptions this rule. My youngest son started talking in complete sentences at a very early age.

It was quite a novelty and adults were intrigued and surprised by his ability to communicate. Even his doctors.

Early on he began telling us about the place he was at before he came to be in our family. At first I thought that he was just making up stories, but I listened just the same. Then one evening before bed he said something that really made me wonder. He told me about something that had happened to him before he was born into our family.

I asked him when this had happened and he said it happened when I was a man like you dad. He went on to say not as old as you are now, I was a lot older. My hair was white and my skin was wrinkly.

This was too much. I was sure that he was making it up.

I began to try to get him to make up a story for me but he seemed unable to understand what I was asking him to do. After several tries I realized that although he was fully capable of relating something that had actually happened to him he was not at all able to make up a story and tell it in a coherent lineal manner that made sense.

He had by this time made several references to the place where the babies where before they are born and about the time he came to see his mother and I before he was born to see if we were the ones he wanted to have for his parents.

He got none of these ideas from my wife or I because these are not ideas we believed in or had ever heard about.

Only later did I do research and find other references to the things that he was telling us.

He is 14 now and can still remember telling us about these things but he says that most but not all of the actual memories of what he was describing have faded.

I'm not sure what to make of this and I am not trying to lie to you or convert you to believe anything. It just happened.

They are Christians arguing that gays shouldn't have rights, that feminists are going to go to hell, or that we should be fighting wars to spread our faith. Obviously that is a lot of baloney. The thing is that some people are just bad, Christian or non-Christian alike. You have asked a very important,very GOOD question. Children often sees things in a totally innocent, uncluttered way that cuts right to the heart of the matter.

In this case you are totally correct and I have often thought of what Christian parents do as a form of child abuse. They immediately start subjugating their children's natural beliief in the way the world works, in what they know in their hearts and minds.

When all else fails they turn to guilt and fear, the two major weapons of the Christian "faith". They are then taught that to even question is in itself a sin. Faith is to be blind and unquestioning. When you are taught that as a child it will stay with you and then you will in turn teach the same to your children and thus the ugly cycle is perpetuated.

Some of us are lucky enough to break away and if we can it is a beautiful thing.

I have to end by saying that I am deeply spiritual and yes I do believe in a divine being. My faith, however has no place in it for fear, sin or guilt. I believe in the power of love, the power of that which I can see and hear and touch. My spiritual faith does not leave me helpless.....I have learned skills by which I can protect myself and my loved ones. My faith does not have any room in it for guilt, we do not teach nor accept it. Very simply, what you send out comes back to you.

I'm not telling you to go against your parents wishes, but they should not tell you what to listen to. Music expresses your personality, and if they don't like that, then that's not their problem. They can't tell you to listen to certain bands because your probably not going to like them. If you still want the band, I'd try Switchfoot or Relient K.

Okay, this isnt really a question, and I'm not trying to promote anything, but for those of you parents or there, or kids who can't get a myspace, I've found a new site. It's called www.shoutlife.com. It is a Christian based site with friendly people. I've been on that site for about 2 1/2 months, and i haven't found anything bad. Trust me, it's almost exactly like myspace [just the features, not the bad stuff] and you can even be 12 to join!! If you have never had a myspace before, trust me, you may not know the difference. 1month ago my 5 year on and off relationship when my ex cheated on me.. After the many times he's broke up with me, I am now convinced, it's not worth it. although i was kinda stupid to held on to it sooo long.

last week, this guy a schoolmate from highschool, messaged me in my myspace.. that i look familiar and we used to go to the same church.. then exchanged yahoo IDs and from then on we chat almost everynight until early morning..

I dont know if he knows, but meeting him means a lot to me.. He works with a nonprofit christian org for the street kids and he asked me to help out in the music program cause i play the piano.. Meeting him, has made it easy for me to let go of the past.. because in just a week of meeting him.. I felt he's soo much better... I dont expect anything with what we have.. But it sure has helped me heal fast..

But do you think he likes me? or is he just being nice?

Ok, just a quick question. I am a Christian and was born and raised that way, but my family comes from DEEP celtic roots. My mother has always told me stories about all the sabbats and my sis and I always knew about all the rituals that went on and it was always normal for us to be around pagans. Well I was just wondering if it bothers you guys as much as it bothers me when somone claims to be "wiccan" but is OBVIOULSY jsut saying it to be "cool". I know this lady she goes around telling everyone she is wiccan and her myspace is covered with Gods and Goddesses and symbols and such, but I asked her where her circle met and when they went, you know just trying to be friendly and maybe go with her sometime since its home to me and she goes, oh i am not into it that much. And I was like"why do you call youself wiccan then?" IDK it just made me mad. I guess becaue I just have been involved with it all my life and I have good friends who are "REAL" wiccans. How shoud I handle this???

I would have to say that if she is a good friend, then continue being friends with her, but I would avoid any religion discussions with her. She may be a solitary practitioner, but my guess is that she doesn't know a lot about it. Don't let her get to you. There are people like that in any religion. For example how many people do you see in a bar on Friday night and sitting in church on Sunday claiming to be a perfect Christian? Don't let it get to you.

Is she solo? If she is then she has no desire for a coven. But if she isn't or what ever then let them be who they are. If they find some sort of fulfillment in sugar coated religi ous fads, let them. There are "false" in every faith and the Pagan faiths are no different. Just tell her "Hey whatever floats your boat. If you ever want to get back into it let me know I have some friends" and let it go. What can you do?

There's nothing to handle. She doesn't have a problem with who she is, you're the one with the problem. There is no one right or any wrong way to be spiritual. Whatever works, works. She lives it the way that is appropriate for her. It doesn't make her less of anything because she doesn't do things the way you're used to seeing. Instead of judging her for being different, why not accept her differences and learn from them. Everyone can teach you something, it's your job to find it.

Yeah, I don't know much about Wicca but it's embarrassingly obvious that a lot of these adolescent would-be "Wiccans" are just trying it to be fashionable and cool. They can't answer the simplest questions.

"wicca" has very little in common with ancient Celtic paganism. i am a former wiccan and am now a christian and all wicca is is a way for 13 year old girls to rebel against their parents and for 40 year lds to have a good excuse to play harry potter. Wicca is actually based on 19th century satanism, and is heavily influenced by aliester crowley, who referred to himself as "the great beast, 666"and had a deep hatred for Christianity. earlier wiccan authors admitted this. wiccan authors also lie about the origins of wicca, the history of christianity, and also about everything else in history. Gerald Gardner claims he met a remnant of an ancient celtic religion (whom he does not name) and say they referred to themselves as "wica" (one "c", the other "c" was added much later to try to connect the word to "witta" which meant a wise person, even though etymologists say there is no reason that "tt" would ever have turned into "cc"), which is an old english term for witch, which means someone who derives power from satan or some other dark power. and, in the celtic alphabet ther is no "w". the only way to make a "w" sound is to combine "mh" and another combination i cant remember, and the sound never appears at the beginning of a celtic word, only in the middle somewhere. so why then would thes "wiccans" (earth loving hippies who use magic for good) refer to themselves as "witches", and on top of that, use a non celtic term to describe a celtic belief system???? i hope you are trying to share the truth with your pagan friends as i am with mine.

it's possible that she could just be solitary or maybe she knows that your christian and was afraid of getting into it with you. maybe when she put together her myspace, she was more into it. maybe she is just saying it to be cool.

i mean, it can bother you all it wants, but what can really do? her actions will reveal her for who she is. ultimately, we can't know what is in anothers heart and soul. just keep being friendly if you cross paths with her. treat her as a fellow human, not as what you percieve her to be.

I would be your friend, UNLESS you're one of those type of christians that try to push your values on other people and give lectures about why your beliefs are right. Other than that, I wouldn't have a problem with you. I knew someone that claimed they were a christian and it was fun being around him until he started doing the things I mentioned above. well what it is is that people don't understand why you believe what you do, i personally don't like bush as a leader, i support gay marrige i think a woman has teh right to choose. and i dont think theres anything wrong with premarital sex, i dont choose my friends based on theyre social and political views, i base them on wheteher or not theyre good people and have a good personality, the reason people don't like you is because they don't understand you, i might be your friend depending on if i liked your personality i dont actually know you, but the best thing you can do is find friends who accept your differing beliefs as yours and different and wont judge you on them, but in return you have to not judge them in their differing beliefs, thats the problem with people who claim to hate judgemental people and claim to be open minded, they arent open minded of judgemental people, they judge judgemental people which makes them judgemental. so my advice is stick strong to your beliefs, but dont force them on other people and don't judge them because they believe differently

I have seen and heard to many people answer questions with "well I am a christian." Also I look at peoples profile on yahoo or myspace and i find things like "I a happily married christian with 3 kids" or one of the most memerable myspace's about me, "first thing you need to know about me is that I am completly in love with Jesus". It's the sin of pride. The pride of belonging to a group of like minded people gives them a false sense of comfort and strength. It's a normal human attribute. I comes from the fact that we are pack animals and seek out groups to be a part of for our sense of security.

i've seen those who call themselves christian but not follow the rules and laws set down by the Bible. It is easier to say you are christian than to show that you are. I am christian but I try my best not to bring that up into conversations because it should have no determining factor in what I say but instead only how i say it. I have found that those that flaunt their religion are not confident in their beliefs nor in their own values. If it offends you, well, sorry to say that some people are not aware that their values and beliefs don't apply to everyone. I don't push my beliefs on others but do make a suggestion when specific moments arise (turmoil, deaths, births, etc) If for whatever reason I see the person I say this too seems disturbed or bothered, I don't mention it again. Unfortunately, not everyone understands. I will ask this though, please don't judge us all by the actions of a few. It was an interesting question to answer.

if i met you on the street, i wouldn't shake your hand and say, "hi, i'm a Christian." if we talked for awhile, it may come up in converstation. if we became aquainted and i never said so, i would hope that you would see Christ in my actions.

i am a Christian. i say so because it says a lot about who i am and who i serve. secondly, everytime i write it or say it, i am reminded that my life is not just about me (i am a human with faults, so i need daily reinforcement).

you can use proxy tunnelling services such as your-freedom.net and it could help you to surf all the internet as you want.

they are a company and you work for them. They pay for that internet access and it's probably not cheap, they can block whatever the heck they wanna block. The day you pony up the cash to pay for your companies internet connection is the day you can determine WHAT sites people are allowed to see.

Chances are they are using websense or some other filtering technology, etc..

but yah..what the 1st dude said, if you REALLY want to browse non-work related stuff on work's dime, then you need to find some way to proxy outta there (via an SSH-tunnel, or some other proxy etc..) That is provided you have adminstrative access to your company issued PC etc.

BTW FWIW, there have been cases where people are using "work" computers to do non-work things, and people getting fired for said actions. If you get fired for this, you're up sh*t creek w/o a paddle and in some cases, if your actions caused loss of data etc..to your PC or other's PC through trojan, spyway/malware etc..you could be held liable for punitive damages..

There is this guy who is a singer who ive loved his music he had a concert a while ago and i went and got introduced to him through friends, we had previously talked about his music on myspace....we decided to hang out went to a park here and hung out and talked got to know each other a little, then the next weekend we met up at a restaurant, and we were there for almost 4 hours, we ate and we sat and talked. then we left, i know he is very busy he is a christian acoustic singer and also has a band on the side, but i really am into this guy but ihe is a shy guy and i cannot tell if he is into me or not... i want to tell him that i like him a bit, but i dont want to scare him away, or ruin our friendship at all...help!!!! how can i find out without being too forward? or anything!! just advice!! i do know he has a great relationship with christ, as i am still working on mine, i wouldnt think that wuld be a huge deal, but then again .

I went to West Virgina for a Work camp and over this week I met an awesome guy named Seth.Hes a Christian and we are very much alike.About the 2nd day I was there I heard him on the roof of the house we were painting and he said and I quote "Shes really awesome,she makes me laugh.Later I'm gonna put paint on her face" and then him and Lane started laughing.I know this because I got on the ladder to the roof and I was gonna ask if I could use it but then they were talking.

My boyfriend and I broke up 3 months ago, and it still bothers me more than anything. It plays a huge role in my life and I'm constantly crying because I guess I thought in my heart we would get back together. I know I don't want to be with who he is now but he is self destructing. He has completely stopped coming to our christian group and campus ministries. He has started drinking quite frequently which is something he has NEVER done before, especially since he hates beer. I'm really struggling because I feel like that isn't him and I want to grab him and shake him and say wake up but I can't. It's so difficult to see and to care so much. I'm thinking I should delete him from myspace, facebook and block his aim, but is that helpful. I think it may make me struggle more. I really would appreciate encouragement (especially religious), experience and advice. Thanks

Be very wary in allowing him to manipulate you, which seems quite obvious since he is drinking and doing things out of character. Without all of the background, it is hard to advise you to do anything. Why did you break up? Was he acting like this before and that is what caused it?

You must acknowledge especially from a religious background that sometimes things happen for a reason. You must first love yourself and he love himself before anyone is capable of an adult relationship with commitment, which seems what you are desiring.

I experienced alot of this when I was in highschool I dated someone for 4 years. We were very religious and good kids. We broke up a couple times throughout the four years, and it was the most horrible thing in the world to me. He must be going through some stuff right now and wanting to do things he never done. The only advice I can give you is realize it happened for a reason and be strong. I would delete him from myspace and facebook because it will be much easier for you not to hear of what he is doing. I agree with Julie B, especially the part about giving it up to the big guy (Jesus). Something similar happened to me recently. There's this woman who is very special to me and gave me hope in my life. We are not together any more and it's been so sad and difficult to deal with. Last week I prayed and gave it up to God and said to myself it's out of my hands, either it's in God's plan or it's not. And I tried really hard to focus on other things in my life that I can do something about.

It's really helped and I've stopped doing crazy things like checking my phone every 5 minutes to see if there are any new texts.

one thing you must never compromise on, and that is your core beliefs.

it's a good thing you have a strong commitment to religion, but he has wandered, let him, it is his self path that he chooses. you do not try to chase after someone, you may feel pity for them, but for you life goes on. and that means finding someone else new.

for all actions there are consequences. you do not have to try to point out to him his action and his consequences. he knows that, he chose that route. he needs to pay for his actions. part of that is he does not to get to know you if at all.

At the time me and my Christian- no sex before marriage- gf where together for 5 months. This guy who had been hitting on her for almost a year before we where together was still after her on myspace but never ever got a date with her even for the year when she was single. He said he was mad she never gave him a chance and is ready to hang out whenever she is. She had this long reply that said a bunch of things that did sound like venting to an extent, but at the end she said she was not sure how much longer we would be together she was waiting for an answer from God. She claims she was just venting because she was mad at me and that had she wanted to be with him she would have done it the nearly a year that he was after her when she was single. It all looks bad on the surface though and there is more but this is the worst of it. We broke up because I do not trust her. I have a hard time believing she would cheat, but I don't know what to do, she has tried to make up for it.

You may want to mention that you feel isolated because you don't know any others (if that's the case. Don't lie!). At that point she may tell you she's a lesbian...if she is one. Or she may not. If she's not bringing it up, you should respect that. Maybe she's in the closest, or maybe she's not a lesbian. Either way, that's her business. She should only be expected to tell people she wants to tell.

This girl at my table douring lunch is an athiest. I am a Christian but I am not bothered by religious differences, although I am bothered by the imaturity of others my age. If someone wants to argue tell them that they can believe what they want and that you respect their right to do so but you are going to continue on in your faith and hope that they will respect your decision like you respect their decision.

This guy stole my girlfriend two years ago, i'm over it. But whenever i see his face somewhere, i can literaly feel my blood boil. Maybe i don't feel closure towards him because i cried like a "wuss" when i called him up to meet in person and talk about the situation. I am stronger now because of the experience of losing that girl and am focusing on finish college ( i guess that she was a distraction.) I have learned not to be SOOOOOOOO nice and trusting of a person anymore.I have outgrown what happened, but when i see his face on myspace and posters on campus (even though he already graduated), i feel so much anger and rage. I should'nt be angry at this guy because he is an uber-christian, and i am focusing my energy on worshipping the lord and trying to do his will. But i had also heard that this guy was a big liar and may have lied to her about being accepted to harvard and other bs. the past doesnt dictate the future, but will he end up getting his? I know i shouldnt bask in it

He did not steal your wife - he is not a "home" wrecker. Are you angry with your girlfriend? It was after all she who left you not the other way around. When you come to marry the woman God has prepared for you, you will thank Him the situation is as it is now. You have limited vision as you are stuck in time. I loved a woman once and we did not marry and it broke my heart. In time, I realised we would not have been able to sustain a relationship and she in turn is unable to have children which would have been a great loss. The Divine Grace in our lives is such that she and I are soul mate friends, her husband and I are friends and my wife is friends with her. We love each other dearly but are not "in love with" each other. So God turned a bad situation around and made it good. He will do the same for you but not until you ask Him to help you forgive the guy (though it is really jealousy which is crushing you and that is one of the seven deadly sins - deadly because it kills you from inside). Pray for your "enemy" and be kind to him even if only in your thoughts. That is the only way you will be set free from the fierce anger you have (anger being another deadly sin).

My family is a very strict Christian family. There are five of us kids and we all came out great, knowing what is wrong and what is right. Except for one of my sisters.

When she was 19, she got pregnant out of wedlock. It completely tore my parents apart and she had a shotgun wedding with she was 5 months pregnant--married an absolute moron.

When she was pregnant with her second child, her husband left her for a little high school girl. Later, they divorced.

Now, my sister who is not even 24 yet, is pregnant again (and it's not her ex-husband's baby). I found all this out from her ex-husband's little high school girlfriend, who has a Myspace. I read all her comments to her friends. That was how I found out my sister is pregnant. She's 20 weeks pregnant and she has not told ANY of us! We didn't even know she had a boyfriend! (She lives about an hour away from all of us).

WHAT CAN I DO?!?! HELP! Any advice? Has your family gone through this?? Thanks.

Your sister is old enough to know what she's doing. Communication is important. The reason why not anyone of you knows of her present pregnancy is that she's scared of rejection and anger from the family. You need to understand why she is being like that. I don't know what to think here:

She used to tell her ex (I saw the myspace comments) how she thinks he is a gift from God, how these are the days of their lives, how she misses him sooooooo much, how he is funny, etc.

He used to tell her how she is the most important thing in his life and how she is the best thing that's ever happened to him.

But the other day, without even asking her, she was telling me how she didn't even really like him, how he wasn't even funny, how it was a long distance relationship, how he was a quitter cuz he tried to get out of the military by pretending to be crazy, and he was always depressed, how he sent her flowers waaay too often, he drank too much, etc.

She told me when me met that she broke up with him because of religious differences, he was mormon and she is christian and that she thinks mormons are weird.

How could she tell me that she didn't even like him when it says right there that she thought he was a gift from GOD!!!

Now, if someone really loves you, then they don't need to lie to you about what is going on. I wonder how he maybe feeling about the whole thing. Something does sit right with this girl. Here is something that makes me think she is not being entirely honest with you.

You state that she listed two fo the reason for breaking up with him as being religious differences due to him being Mormon and he drank too much.

Well, Mormons are not supposed to drink!

If he was drinking too much, than he is not living the tenants of the Mormon faith, which means their different religions should not have been a problem as he wasn't following his anyways.

If their differences in religion were a problem because he was an active member of his church, than he most likely would not have been drinking at all, much less to excess.

But, unless there are other lies going on, I would suspect she is lying to make you feel better. Women are very emotional. When we are in a committed relationship, the man is often the center of our universe and we give him our all. But when we break-up with him and move on to another guy, we must make our attachment to the previous love seem less to make our new love interest not feel challenged by a past relationship. So, if she has not lied about anything else, I would think she is simply trying to play down this last relationship to make you feel better, not out of some sinister motive.

But if you have any evidence about her lying on other subjects that have nothing to do with the ex, you may have a serious problem with honesty in your relationship.

Look...there is nothing you can do to help him. Three months is way to long for you to still be doing this to yourself. Delete the contacts and get on with your life.

I've been around people that drink all my life. Some of them have problems with it, some don't. If he is having an issue, the only thing that stops it is him wanting to stop. You can't make him do that. No one can. The absolute best you can do is get the drunk to stop drinking for a while. But if it wasn't his idea...he is going to go back.

I am sorry but i don't think you will be able to help him. you can only help the ones that want help. He has found him self in a hell. He is surrounded by all of his negative thought,Hate, and ego. He is hiding it with the booze. he drinks to get numb and to forget how his life or how he veiws himself is. He does not want help right now. He is in the state of mind to just try and forget it all. He should probably see someone to help him out of this hell that he has found himself in. I did and it has helped me understand why i thought what i thought. why i acted the way i act and so on. I have been in his shoes and i have also been where you are too. When i was in the situation that you are in I had to stay away but that was because he turned very abusive in the process of his hell that he was making. I don't want that to happen to you. As hard as it is you have to let him go and let him deal with this hell himself. especially if he becomes abusive. Trust me he will only bring you down with him. I have been in both position. i know. As a person who has been in this situation before... although it may seem pointless to keep on trying, you must! People can be extremely weak at times in their life, and even if it doesn't seem like you are making an impact, I promise you are! Guys honestly think differently than girls and guys in college are especially weird, but if you care about the guy then you will keep trying. My ex and I have been broken up for over 3 years, and the first of our break-up sounds just like your's, but as I persisted with my friendship and love of Christ... he started to become closer to his family and now we are very good friends.... I am still the one he turns to when times get really rough b/c I have my faith behind me to give him advice and help him along. Like the other people who have posted responses to your question... If it is tearing you up inside to a point where it effects your life then delete him from your life! Do it now before it is too late! I am telling you this sincerely! BUT, if you can't let him go.... then let him know you will be there for him if he ever needs you. Text him or message him every other week or so with an encouraging word or quote from the Bible! It might sound weird... but it worked for me and now that my ex is honestly going through the worst thing a guy could think to go through... he called me to give him encouragement and just to talk about the situation he was going through b/c he trusted me as a sister in God! I have been sending him a quote of encouragement from the Bible everyday and he is the most grateful in the world. Yeah... I will admit that every guy is different, but trying to help them (IF IT DOES NOT HURT YOU IN THE PROCESS!!!!!) is the way to go! Persistence is the key! It depends what you do with a computer. A computer is not in it's self wrong. Just like a deck of cards aren't wrong until YOU do wrong with them, such as gambling.

It sounds like your friend is afraid of any negative influences that can come into your home via the computer. There are many people that won't watch TV or listen to the radio or read papers for the same reason. They don't want to be "polluted" by the world. If you were downloading porn or demonic-rock or other stuff like that, I could understand her concern. However, you make no mention of non-Christian activities.

Since you call her your friend, sit down with her, and ask her to detail her reasoning for you. If she really understands the reasons "WHY" she believes all of this "computers and internet are bad", then she will be able to do this. She may have to write it down, or find you another written resource to read. Ask her AS A FRIEND to explain herself. You will want to tell her why you find her sound bites disturbing.

Once there is total understanding (not agreement, that may not happen), you can have another conversation. If you agree with her points, then get rid of your computer and never log onto the internet again. If you disagree, then be honest and tell her that. "I disagree with your stance on computers and the internet, and this is why....".

After one of these 2 conversations has taken place, they never really have to be had again. She is not your wife, and cannot order you to get rid of any of your household appliances! She also does not have the right to order about your personal time, being "just a friend". Hopefully you can agree to disagree on this matter, and remain friends.

He is a christian..I am a believer in God who is spiritual but not religious. He doesn't curse...I curse whenever I feel the need. He is conservative....I am more liberal. I met this really sweet guy on myspace. We've been chatting for over a year and began speaking on the phone this past December. We both find each other physically attractive. He's there for me, if even just to listen when I'm feeling alone. I really don't have many people who are there for me anymore. He is completely GORGEOUS, but man...he bores me to tears sometimes. He wants to meet me as soon as I'm ready, but I just don't know what to do. I feel as though I like him because he's good looking and nice, which is terrible to settle for...right? Wow you sound like my husband and I! We are complete, but I mean COMPLETE opposites!

I go out, he would much rathehr stay in. He's Muslim, I'm non-religious, etc etc you get the point.

My advice to you: all relationships are based on some sort of attraction, no matter how ugly other people might think your lover is. Meet up with him when you're ready (already he's not even pressuring you into that, so that's great!) and if there is as great a spark in person as there is online and over the phone, then go for it.

Don't just jump into a relationship to be in one. Make sure it's worthwhile.

three years ago my husband had an affai. The girl said after the first week she was pg and then she lost it. Then a few months after he was back home she called him and said she was pg again. Then she called and said it was not his. Now three years later she found him on myspace and said the little boy is his. SHe said she wants him to know his dad and that she never lied to anyone. She married and said the little boy does not call him dad. She told me I am a side item and that I need to stay out of it. She said it is between her and my husband. 1) you are NOT the side item. SHE is. Because he is YOUR husband, not HERS

The fundamental assumptions to work on are: the child does deserve to have a mother and a father, and you do have choices.

First, it's imperative to insist on a paternity test. It's necessary to ensure the child's legal rights, your husband's, and yours. Furthermore, it's necessary to ensure that the child's medical history is firmly established. That's going to be something this child will need to know for the rest of his life. If the woman isn't willing to do it, your husband MUST pursue the legal means to get the test done. If he isn't willing to do it, well, I'll get to that in a second.

Your husband's duties are clear. He must determine whether or not he has a child. Then, he immediately begin to establish a relationship with his child and go through the court system to establish an agreement regarding all custody issues. This will include visitation, monetary issues (medical insurance, child support, etc.) and other issues he deems specifically essential. (I personally support an agreement not to live further apart from the child than adjacent counties. This makes transportation easier and prevents tragic arguments in the future.)

Now, PLEASE forgive me for this next part. Before I begin, let me say that I'm a stepmother, and that I do feel incredibly compassion for what you most be going through right now. While what I'm about to say will sound harsh, it really is the kindest truth a person could give to you right now.

You won't have any say whatsoever in any legal agreements your husband makes regarding this child other than the say your spouse gives you. In other words, anything other than private conversations between you two that involve this child will be beyond your ability to affect--even though they will entirely affect you. The court system isn't kind to stepparents, and it doesn't give them many rights at all other than the right to exit the situation entirely. She will have the right to speak badly about you to your husband, your stepchild and you if she pleases. A court may tell her in a document that she ought to stop, but to enforce that...you'll have to go back to court. You'll spend more on a hostile family court dispute than you would on raising the child, eventually.

If your husband is this boy's father, then this woman will be in your life for the rest of the time you're married to your husband...unless your husband is a less than honorable man. If he walks away from his child to make you happy, that's the man you'll have on your hands. If he remains a father to his child, he'll need to work out decisions about this child until he's 18. Consider telephone conversations about schoolwork, behavior issues, visitation times, and all other manner of things. Then, consider the family events after this child is an adult: holidays, weddings, etc. Should this child be your stepchild, your family has just expanded significantly and permanently.

She has the right to tell you to stay out of it, unfortunately. This hurts incredibly...I KNOW...but she has the right to discuss her child with the father--and no one else--if she wishes. That was your husband's poor judgment. You only have the right to discuss this child and your household with your husband. If he's intelligent enough and wise enough to ensure you're an equal authority figure in your home, then that's the extent of your influence.

Take a moment to think this over, though. This is the last time you'll have the right and opportunity to think about this situation as an individual. Your husband had the poor judgment to risk (and possibly succeed at) bringing a child into your family without your permission. Now, against your will you have to contemplate raising a child and bringing a child into your home who will be raised with different values and raised in great part without your consent.

Once this child is established to be a part of your family, you will be a stepmother. No going back from that moment. However, right now you are an individual in a marriage with a person who risked your life (STDs) and future (children) for whatever his invalid reasons were. This child could be a joy, but given his mother's influence and the trauma of what divided custody will produce he has the same odds of being a devastating influence on your life. The fact that your husband isn't already doing what needs to be done (given this question) doesn't bode well.

No woman should be forced to have children without her consent, and that's what this man has effectively risked doing to you. You're already having difficulty with your beliefs, because you're showing the man who violated his direct oath to you more respect than you're showing the woman he may have left on her own with a child. The best help anyone can give you is the following advice:

My sis said I was emo and so does those stupid myspace surveys. But I don't think I am. My hair doesn't cover my eyes. I don't cut myself. I don't wear skinny jeans, have black painted nails, or shop at Hot Topic. I don't wear eyeliner either. I wear casual clothes like the lastest trends. I like all kinds of music, but mostly mixes by djs, christian music, dance music, pop/rock, hip hop, and my fave singer is Avril Lavigne and has been since 2002. Well, she started stalking me after I left him, telling me when she saw him, when she slept with him etc. It got so bad; I changed all my phone numbers. Well, I am a Christian, and I tried to give him chances, but I just got weary, so I slowly distanced myself from him because I felt that he was never going to change. I am sorry to hear your situation, but I am curious as to why this other girl would exaggerate your convos with her in order to maliciously break you and your gf up. Who is this girl and why would your gf believe her over you? I just feel like there's more to this story.

At any rate, there are several possibilities as to why your gf is acting so strangely. It's hard to know how she really feels based on the information provided. Well, every thing depends on how your girl feels for you right now. Her believing that girl who told her that you cheated on her might be offensive on your part because she believed her more than she believed you whom she thought was the one lying. But you shouldn't be offended at all because some women are really prone to believing other people as far as love relationships are concerned and you know, mere gossips have been the cause of so many relationships going down the drain.

You should have a heart to heart talk with your gf who now seems to be your ex and tell her every single thing that is in your heart. Tell her that with all honesty, you have never cheated on her and what she heard from that girl was a mere lie but you really don't know what that girl was up to when she told your gf about your cheating on her.

Of, if you could talk to that girl and ask her to retract her statement from your gf's mind, talk to her and tell her that she might have just broken two hearts who were once ver much in love with each other with that lie. Make her feel the guilt of having changed your life's course and having taken away from you your heart's happiness with the loss of that woman you truly love just because she lied to her. If you could ask her to be with you when you talk to your gf personally, somehow, your gf would be able to see in your eyes and that girl's eyes that you did not lie to her when you said that you never cheated on her.

That is all you need and that's the only chance that you have to win back her trust in you. The last fight that you had might not have any bearing as far as her wanting to separate ways with you is concerned. I believe that still, it is her belief that you cheated on her that moves her away from you and so our strategy will have to work towards the elimination of that negative thought about you in her mind.

But if despite your effort to prove her wrong in believing that way and still nothing happens, perhaps she has another reason in her heart in trying not to communicate with you anymore. You have the right though to know what the real reason is and if she is matured enough to pour her heart out, you would know the answer.

Remember this... if you are meant for each other, no matter what is happening now, you still will find yourself back in her arms in the future but if you are not, Destiny will work towards your finding someone else who is the right one for you. Good luck.

Why have you been talking to another girl anywayz when your so serious about this one? You must have talked to her alot for her to go to such links as to do all of this to you and your gf. You need to find out how your girl really feels and if shes decided to move on, you must let go and realize maybe shes not the one God has for you in your life.
