What is the evangelical Christian's position on the issue of Global Warming?

I live in the arm pit of the Deep South in a poppulation that appears to be overwhelmingly from the Baptist persuasion. The message that I seem to be getting consistently in response to the question above is that "all we can do is pray" at this point, because the Book of Revelations had prophecized that the end if the earth would be imminent. To me, this attitude seems irresponsible. Yet that is the overall impression that I am getting from Evangelical Christians. Feedback?

Jesus did not teach that we should pray and do nothing. The Bible plainly teaches responsibility and good stewardship. There's an old clique - - "put legs on your prayers". Christ Jesus also said "Occupy until I come". Christians should be good stewards of their environment as well as their families, that should just come naturally.

The Bible does not directly address global warming.

Anyone who says it does is probably twisting verses to suit their own ends.

The Bible does, however teach that this world will come to an increasingly catastrophic end, so anyone looking for that end could use global warming as evidence.

Save your breath: You will never change their minds...such as they are...these are the same folks who plan to fly off into the sky, leaving cars, clothes, family %26amp; friends to suffer as they should...seeing as they were "Left Behind" because they didn't dot every i and cross every t . . .

How Christ-like, eh? Hmmm? NOT. That particularly foolish idea is the product of the imagination of a 12 year old girl in Scotland about a hundred hears ago. It's commonly called "The Rapture".

As for Global Warming?

Well . . . it's simply fires of hell melting the Artic and preparing the way for the second coming of THEIR vague version of a messiah who predicted catachlismic events . . .

But who wouldn't be caught dead or alive with people who never, ever protected, respected, or honored the very world He created out of pure love for a bunch of doomsday drones.

TAKE YOUR LIFE AND MOVE AWAY ASAP...

God is in charge ,

he has probably caused it to scare us a bit

he will also fix it

dont worry

The beautifull heaven is waiting

Get ready to accept death

This in reality at the end of the day is probably all we can do anyway ,because we cannot evacuate people to safer places if the whole world is affected.

So everybody on your knees and pray

But it would have been better to say everybody on your feet and clean up the rubbish and plant some trees ,

This just shows you that they have accepted their fate and cant wait to get to heaven

or they are exstraterestrial after all and regard this planet as disposable ,a place for transition .
